Kidderminster BID is recruiting Town Centre Rangers
Part time and full time opportunities available
Salary – £19,000 – £21,000
Application deadline: 5pm on 28/08/2020

We are proud of our business community who have worked tirelessly through challenging times.  One of the BID’s first tasks it to recruit Town Centre Rangers to be the eyes and ears of the town, liaise with businesses, identify and deal with local issues and provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment.

This week, Ricky and Chris have been busy on Church Street, giving the area a well-deserved tidy-up 🌿. They’ve been tackling litter, pulling up weeds, and cleaning around business fronts and walkways, all part of our ongoing efforts to make our streets cleaner, safer, and more visually appealing. 💙 The support from local businesses and the kind words from so many of you have been amazing, thank you! While out working, they even discovered four shopping trolleys in the River Stour (now safely removed!) and gave the circular planter outside Greggs some attention too, wire-brushing between the brickwork for a fresh, sharp finish. Yesterday we attended the grand opening of H E L P - Supporting People In Need, the local charity that’s been supporting homeless people in our community for many years, whether that’s through providing clothes, food, or helping people get off the streets. This new space has transformed an empty high street unit into a welcoming place that truly makes a difference. 💙 HELP continues to make a huge impact on our local community with their ongoing efforts, providing not just support, but also a hub where people can reconnect with others, build themselves back up, and find a safe, friendly space to belong. The new café space also includes a small retail offering, helping to further support their brilliant work and the people they help every day. 👏 Shazu Miah, who is Chair of HELP, was there alongside fellow trustees Jason and Fran Orboski to celebrate and show their support for this fantastic new community project.
