Today we held our first free women’s and girls’ self-defence class at Russell Perks Martial Arts Academy and we couldn’t be happier with the amazing turnout. 💙 It was incredible to see the support, the energy, and just how much this kind of space is needed. 🌟 Thank you to everyone who came along. Another week, another update from our BID team 💙 This week Ricky and Chris clocked over 55,000 steps and cleared 6 bags of litter, all while continuing their mission to make our town centre cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone. They’ve been out across the town de-weeding, litter-picking, and freshening up key areas. Over in the Horsefair, the greenery around the Horseshoe has been given a stunning makeover, now looking far more cared for and inviting as you walk by. Meanwhile on Green Street, they’ve hoed, swept, and cut back the overgrowth along the old factory, making the footpaths noticeably cleaner and much more inviting. 🌟 We’re seeing real improvements each week as the team ramp up efforts to finish the year on a strong note. And as always, we’re genuinely overwhelmed by the kindness, support, and encouraging words from both local businesses and our amazing community.
