Kidderminster BID Community 6 months round up

Kidderminster BID Community Round-Up 🌟
The past 6 months have been amazing for our Kidderminster BID Community Team! Together with our fantastic local partners, we’ve created a season full of activity, connection, and community spirit.
Over the past few months, we’ve proudly supported more than 60 free community activities – and it’s been wonderful to see them visited over 580 times by local people of all ages.
Here’s just a snapshot of what we’ve been up to:
✨ Connect & Brew – 25 friendly drop-in sessions across two venues, with more than 340 visits. These sessions gave people the chance to sit down, share a cuppa, and enjoy good conversation.
🎨 Creative & Craft Sessions – 18 activities across three venues, attracting 143 visits. From crafting at the Museum of Carpet to creative chats at the Futurist Cinema, these sessions have inspired imagination and connection.
💃 Fitness & Dance Sessions – 17 sessions at four venues, bringing in 100 visits. Whether it was dancing for wellbeing at Youth House or trying racket sports at the leisure centre, people got moving while having fun.
Along the way, we’ve shared laughs and stories at Kidderminster Library, enjoyed chats at the Rose Theatre and the Tulip Tree Centre, and discovered new talents in familiar community spaces.
But the numbers only tell part of the story. The real success has been the connections made, the friendships formed, and the sense of belonging that has grown within our town. Local people, coming together in local places, building stronger community ties – that’s what it’s all about.
Don’t just take our word for it, these are some of the lovely comments we’ve received from local people attending our activities:
🎤 “I’m just so glad to be able to get out, especially on a Monday after the weekend stuck indoors.” Linda (Connect & Brew @ Kidderminster Library)
🎤 “Can I just take this opportunity to say thank you for setting up and running these groups. They’re really good.” Bob (Connect & Brew @ The Tulip Tree Centre)
🎤 “I like all the groups – it’s a lovely set of people.” Charlie (Connect & Brew @ Kidderminster Library)
🎤 “Thank-you so much for organising this. It’s really great.” Lynn (Racket Sports @ Wyre Forest Leisure Centre)
🎤 “I love coming to this – you can just be yourself and have a chat with others.” Mary (Connect & Brew @ Kidderminster Library)
