An Egg-stra Special Easter in Kidderminster Town Centre

It’s going to be an egg-stra special Easter in Kidderminster Town Centre this year.

Kidderminster Business Improvement District has organised a fun filled Easter which will include an Easter Wonderland Trail.

The trail runs from Saturday April 9th to Saturday April 23rd. It’s free to take part and it is wonderland themed.

Children and families will be encouraged to follow the clues on the trail map and spot objects in shop windows, all located in pedestrianised areas within the town centre. There will be everything from a flamingo to a teapot. There will also be stickers to collect from the shops on the trail map.

Trail maps can be picked up from the town centre on Saturday April 9th or downloaded and printed from the link at the bottom of this article.

The trail maps can be collected from the bottom of the escalator in the Swan Centre, outside the Town Hall and at the starting point, Coffee#1 on Riverside.

Completed trail maps can be handed in to Old Tom’s Donuts in the High Street to receive a free donut for the children and be entered into a prize draw to win a £25 gift card for The Entertainer toy shop.

Kidderminster BID Manager Alex Powell said: ‘We are looking forward to a fun filled Easter in the town centre. There’s great community spirit in Kidderminster.

‘It’s great to be able to provide events for local families and also attract more visitors into the town. There’s plenty for people to enjoy in Kidderminster this Easter.’

There’s an invitation to join in the fun at the Exchange Café in Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday April 16th. A Mad Hatters Tea Party will be taking place from 12pm to 3pm with the chance to meet the Queen of Hearts.

The café is providing free Easter cupcakes for children when adults purchase a drink. Free Easter crafts will be taking place in the café, and children can take part with parental supervision. A face painter will also be there from 12pm to 3pm offering free face painting for children.

You might have seen that Peacocks on Worcester Street is due to close on April 4th. It’s always sad to see a long-standing town centre business go, especially one with such a lovely team who really care about their customers and the town. They’ve always been engaging and have loved getting involved in what we do, which we’ve really appreciated. 🌟 We popped in earlier and there are some brilliant deals in there at the moment (and they’re going quickly!). If you’re in town over the next couple of weeks, it would be great to pop in, grab a bargain and show the team a bit of love and support before they close. They’ve been a big part of Worcester Street for a long time. 💙 #Kidderminster #Worcestershire #love #support #community #town #team #business #clothes

It’s been another busy week for our outreach team. Chris and Ricky have been non-stop helping businesses tidy up their frontages, supporting over 30 businesses in the past few days including Mobile Tech, Vodafone, Pavers and plenty more as we start gearing up for the better weather and the run into spring. Safe to say the brushes and litter pickers have been getting a proper workout this week! 💙 Alongside that, the team have kept up their ongoing clean-up across the town centre, collecting over 15 bags of litter. Sam and Mike have also been out supporting businesses and helping keep an eye on things around town. We hope you’re all starting to notice the difference, now we’re just hoping the weather gets the message… more sunshine please! ☀️ #Kidderminster #Worcestershire #support #community #town #love #new #team #cleaning #business

Today Mountain Warehouse celebrated the opening of their newly expanded store in Kidderminster, with Deputy Mayor Shazu Miah joined by founder Mark Neale for the occasion. In case you missed it, they’ve expanded into the unit right next door, creating a much bigger space with more stock and an even wider variety of outdoor gear, and honestly, it looks fantastic. 🤩 It’s brilliant to see a national brand like Mountain Warehouse continuing to invest in our town after more than 10 years here. Seeing businesses grow and expand like this is always a great sign for the town and our high street. 🙌 There was also a lovely moment on the day as Jade, the Assistant Store Manager, and Simon the team leader, was presented with his 10-year service certificate, a great achievement and a real sign of the strong team behind the store. 👏 If you’re heading into town, it’s definitely worth popping in and taking a look at Crossley Retail Park 💙 #Kidderminster #Worcestershire #new #community #support #team #love #town #Events #gear #clothes
